JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. This position is responsible for supporting area operations in order to improve safety service to sales productivity cost control and compliance of standard operating procedures for assigned area (s).
2. Responsible for daily leadership of safe warehouse and fleet operations
3. Executes and enforces safety standards. Drives accountability for safe behaviors by coaching team members. Identifies and removes risks related to having a safe work environment
4. Leads people management and development for warehouse staff including having a disciplined approach to recruiting training coaching performance management and retention
5. Manages fleet assets for the location to ensure truck availability for service to customers and ensures compliance with Pre & Post Trip inspections utilization PM schedule repair/maintenance defrost breakdown pick-up etc.
6. Demonstrates focus on effective talent selection hiring and successful on-boarding of new team members
7. Effectively manages costs associated with building maintenance fleet management and inventory controls (shrink damage etc)
8. Partners with area management to meet overall locations service and sales goals and objectives as well as reinforcing key messages on areas of focus and strategic priority for the business and helps the team through changes. May also assist management with service and sales activities as required.
9. Provides leadership and execution of efficient warehouse operations that deliver on company objectives. Ensures proper standards are followed regarding product loading receipt of product inventory depot maintenance out of stocks and product safety
10. Ensures compliance with company standards and all DOT federal state and local regulatory agencies including employment related postings
11. Executes the company's Good Warehouse Practices (GWP) and follows all government regulations concerning EPA OSHA all food safety regulations and other safety-related regulations as specified in the company's manual

CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Education: High School or equivalent
2. Years of Related Experience: 3-5 years related experience; fleet management experience preferred; 2 yrs direct leadership experience preferred
3. Effective interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and written
4. Individual coaching and team leadership skills
5. Organization prioritization and time management skills
6. Effective Budget Management skills
7. Good PC skills including: Microsoft Word Excel etc.
8. SME in employee and motor vehicle safety as well as have DOT OSHA and EPA compliance experience preferred
9. Experienced at implementing processes that will lead to sustained performance improvements
10. Must meet the Federal DOT eligibility requirements including appropriate driver's license and medical certification
