Job: Formulation Chemist

Our client, a leading biotechnology company, is currently seeking a driven and ambitious Formulation Chemist to join their team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated professional who has a go-getter attitude.

1) Provide technical support to customers, through both development and early commercialization stages
2) Lead development of commercial and industrial ink technologies to support the business
3) Identify materials for breakthrough product development
4) Design, conduct and analyze relevant testing for formulation, process and manufacturing
5) Generate patents, with sufficient exemplification, which protect the ink technology developed in area of responsibility
6) Support the introduction of new ink formulations, products and procedures from R&D to manufacturing
7) Perform and contribute to daily housekeeping functions as required for safe, efficient working conditions and as instructed by the Supervisor
8) Perform some maintenance and calibration of select analytical equipment
9) Design experiments, execute testing, collect data and draw conclusions from development work
10) Generate detailed, accurate data and reports of laboratory, pilot, and manufactured tests

Critical Requirements:

1) A university degree is required (preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field, though all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply)
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the biotechnology industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to people with recent experience in formulation
